Dr. Niharika Singh received her MBBS degree from Kurukshetra University, following which she decided to pursue her postgraduation in mental health. She then went on to complete MD Psychiatry from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. During her residency program she pursued her thesis on psychosocial factors and personality profile of early and late onset Alcohol dependence syndrome. With a view to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of mental health, she then continued to train regularly with premier institutes such as Harvard Medical School - McLean Hospital (USA) in Mind-Body Medicine, Beck Institute (USA) in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, NIMHANS (Bangalore) in Addiction Psychiatry, Behaviour Medicine, Clinical Neurophysiology and Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation and has completed Fellowship in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation from Duke University (USA). Her early exposure to a wide and diverse environment has helped develop a profound understanding of the varied cultural presentations of distress and psychiatric disorders.
She has served as Senior Resident at SGT Medical College, Gurgaon followed by Assistant Professor and Head of Department of Psychiatry at World College of Medical Sciences & Research. She has headed a multidisciplinary team as the In-charge of Opioid Substitution Therapy Center under NACO (a division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India) and has worked as Grade-I Medical Officer in Haryana Civil Medical Services (Haryana Government).
Dr. Niharika has actively organized camps in schools and the district prison to help cater to mental health needs and has repeatedly been mentioned in the local news. She has tackled the responsibility of Head of Department of Psychiatry and has helped establish her department in medical institutes alongside teaching medical students.
She has been working as consultant Psychiatrist, Paras Hospitals Gurgaon (since 2015) and with a vision to develop personalized care, she has recently opened her Psychiatry Centre- Savera.
